Lessons on Life

ontop_by_diehappy_xOne can only find out if their action was beneficial or detrimental after getting into it, and going through it. Experience can only be defined after exercise.
Here I share a few lessons I experienced, about life, and change. (Response severity to the occasions may vary for others)
  1. I had to spend too much, monetarily, to learn that shopping incessantly and retail therapy doesn't do its job. It offers only a temporary quick-fix, superficial happiness, and some bad clogged storage space.
  1. With pain, I learned that following my heart wasn't always the right thing to do, and that giving my brain a chance to lead was wiser. Emotions have to stop controlling, logic must delegate and be King.
  1. I also learned not to react immediately, but to be in a state of calm first, to allow thinking to work its wonders, before feeling does the damage. Never make decisions, without the right frame of mind.
  1. I had to lower my standards and expectations of people. Don't wish for high and great from anyone. The new motto is to give as long as you can give, and don't expect the same quality of standard back.
  1. I learned to stop entertaining depression, and give life a chance at being happy and positive. Religion promises inner tranquility and a stronger soul.
It's difficult to change who you are, what you've always been, what you're made out of, and how you usually think, feel, respond and react. But these changes are essential to rounding you to be better; so modify and try.
